May has its own fleeting flavour in the kitchen. It appears only for a moment, much like a good excuse to travel or a spontaneous city break. It is the kind of moment when it is worth slowing down, taking a seat at the table and catching the seasonal vibe, enjoying what this time of year does best: the delicacy of white asparagus, the freshness of strawberries and that lightness of May that does not need grand declarations to stay in your memory.

In our new two-week menu insert, created by Marcin Blasiński, à la carte chef at Hilton Garden Inn Kraków Airport, we boldly reach for white asparagus, a seasonal delicacy that at this time of year delights with its subtlety, elegance and deep flavour.

What will you find in the new lunch menu?

We have created a three-course insert for our à la carte menu, available from Monday to Friday, perfect for lunch just after arriving in Kraków or for an informal business meeting near Balice Airport. It is a proposal for those who appreciate light, seasonal cuisine.

To start, we recommend cream of white asparagus soup served with roasted sweet cherry tomatoes, crushed choux pastry and lemon oil. A delicate opening, designed to awaken the appetite.

The main course is roasted salmon fillet served on velvety potato and horseradish purée, with hollandaise sauce and white asparagus.

To finish, Basque cheesecake with young Polish strawberry salsa, a dessert that is excellent and perfect in its simplicity. Its strength lies in its creamy, almost velvety interior and its distinctive, deeply baked, caramelised crust, which gives it depth and creates a clear counterpoint to its gentle sweetness. Fresh strawberries bring juiciness, lightness and that very May flavour we will soon start to miss.

Our weekly menu is created with guests on the move in mind, before a flight, after landing, while waiting for a business meeting or simply looking for a good meal close to Kraków Airport in Balice.
